FAKE enters pop culture and deconstructs pop culture and its protagonists with the brand symbol of the mask on the faces of cartoon icons and characters. Mattia Bari likes to put masks on popular characters and icons maintaining a sense of familiarity with the viewers, for the exploration of the "unknown" within a certain comfort zone.
Mattia Bari, aka POPST-ART (the pop star of art), is an internationally renowned artist hailed as a pop icon in the USA with major exhibitions and events worldwide and his paintings and merchandise purchased by celebrities and superstars, introducing a new pop culture phenomeno.
His visionary pop character "FAKE" has conquered NYC's Billionaire Row and with his mask has only one goal: to remove it and rediscover his authenticity, the journey of all of us...
